"apprentice gadgeteer help"
If your character doesn't qualify in the beginning for a gadgeteer, and the first level-up he still doesn't qualify, will he still improve his omni-gun during the level-up?

I'm asking this because I saw on a website a table with races versus classes and the (i think) bonus-points you get for the combination. I would like a dwarven gadgeteer in my first party, but in the table it says -15 for that combination. I don't know exactly what it means, but I'm guessing he will be an apprentice for the first level-ups. And if he doesn't improve his omni-gun from the start, I will take a race that's more suitable for gadgeteer.

I was also wondering if EVERY attribute (strength etc.) you max out, will get you an expert skill to develop.

Thanks for the help,
-- Prutkse

iam not so sure what you want to know

1: it doesnt matter what race your gadgeteer is. he will improve the omnigun every second level up.

2: perhaps a dwarve is not the best choice for the gadgeteer because his statistic would not be the best, but this doesnt matter so much.

What I meant was, when you take a race that is totally unsuited for a class, like a faery fighter, even while spending all of your bonus points, you haven't got enough to obtain all the minimum attributes of the class (so I read on the board, still haven't got my copy, so I can't try character development yet) and you start as an apprentice in the class.
What I would like to know, can an apprentice do all the things a full member of a class could, like upgrading the omnigun at level-up, if you're an engineer?
