"Playing Single - Martens Idol"
I'm thinking of starting a new game with a single character. Does anyone know what happens if you pick up Martens Idol with only one character present (ie no NPC's either), is it game over?? (That would make a single character game somewhat difficult!).

Cheers

1. "Playing Single - Martens Idol - No problem"
That (and other single player issues) were accounted for. Go for it!

When i picked it up with a one-char party the char was kidnapped and game over....
Only way to get it was to kill Croc before taking it.

3. "What version do you have?"
I am pretty sure that others have had a different experience. Either way, save before you swipe it and you are saved (by reload).

I was under the same impression as you. I think the latest patch addresses the single character problems.

Hmm....
this happened to one of my other posts. How does my response get converted to the "Tools for Wizardry(r)7" URL you have defined at the end of all your posts?

Anyway, I was under the same impression as you. I thought the latest patch addressed the single character party problems.

OR

Maybe I just remember people saying that you had to have an NPC for the "Marten's Idol" grab, in a single character party.

6. "Don't "copy" the previous post"
It picks up everything, including the poster's tagline. Mine has HTML fonts in it, and that messes up you following post.

If you do need to "copy", delete the end of the previous post, where the HTML tags are.
