Beefish (Guest) (1 posts) Mar-01-02, 08:04 PM (Pacific) "Plank, Boots, slippery area in sea caves...." Am I more or lessed kerfuffled if I don't have the spiked boots? I couldn't figure out what the plank was for or the boots the 1st time I was in that area. I have gone back and have the plank but do not have the boots, I am pretty sure I sold them somewhere or other. Is there a way to do this plank manuever without the boots or do I have to traverse the lands looking for the person I sold the boots to? Have the plank in hand and use it on the gap (try about 4 or 5 times, quickly) and the plank went into the gap. I fell down, I think, then I made my way back up and took it at a run. You need to aim properly and you should be able to make it up the other side. Get the boots next game. It makes things much easier. It certainly does. I'm not sure it works, but I was fighting in that area and I ran to where I think the plank would go. When my 'run time' ran out, I stopped dead. Even on the green stuff.
