Crawfish Fiesta (Guest) (2 posts) Dec-17-01, 07:16 AM (Pacific) "Getting rid of Glumph" How do you get rid of Sgt Glumph? I've escorted him back to Mt Gigas. He requests that I take him to General Yamir, so I walked the party to General Yamir. When I try to remove Glumph from the party he refuses to leave, indicating that I need to escort him to Yamir (who is inches in front of the party). When I talk to Yamir trying to complete my saving Glumph quest he ignores the fact that I've got Glumph in my party, assigns me a new mission and then refuses to discuss anything...saying "I've given you an order, get to it" or something along those lines. In case its relevant my next mission is to acquire the three devices and join Yamir on Ascension Peak. I hope I'm not forced to keep Glumph until that point, as I've only got one of the three devices so far.   Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I'm running under the impression this is a bug and am thinking about starting over and not taking the "Save Glumph" quest so that I don't get into this situation again. Any thoughts? myrddin (24 posts) Dec-17-01, 02:41 PM (Pacific) 2. "RE: Getting rid of Glumph" I got rid of Glumph without any problems at all. Are you sure you were sent on the mission to go retrieve him before you went and picked him up to bring him back? "RE: Getting rid of Glumph" I had no problem there; after rescuing him, I checked out a few of the other huts first, then portal'd on back to the base camp. After the trek through the mountain to Yamir's office, he took a vacation. Personally, I would've liked him to stick around...I'd have killed his butt (well, OK, let the monsters kill his butt) and left his sorry carcass somewhere unpleasant...I have a save of the game right before making the Mook alliance. Gonna replay everything, this time aligning with the T'rang instead. It'll be tough, but I am going to *enjoy* sweeping the base camp and the mountain clear of all those (#$@&# arrogant Umpani....   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Getting rid of Glumph" I couldn't get rid of him either, so I took away all his armor, found some juggernauts and let him fight them while everyone else defended. He almost beat them all! "RE: Getting rid of Glumph" I found a easy way, just enter the mines from eastern side of the swamp, he won't want to, when you release him from the party he will go aggro. You kill him, and when you get to the general in Umpani Compound, he will say something about "Now that is a shame' and still give you the exp for retrieving the corpse at least.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
