2. "Identifying items" |
Each item has a set number, that is its difficulty to identify. When your skill is below that number, you can't identify it*. When you cast the spell (or use the scroll), the level it is cast at equates to some number, again that must beat the number of the item.* I think there is one caveat to this, when you first get items. Everyone in the team takes a shot at identifying everything you find (i.e. loot from a monster drop, opening a chest, etc). At that point, I think you have a chance, based on the difference in numbers on identifying any item. Tools for Wizardry(r) 7
