"COC"
Can you only get the COC from the Don? You sure there is no other place to get another? This is first time I'm using a Fairy, so I didn't pay much attention to this item before.
Also, is it an extended weapon? This is important to me at this point in the game. Thanks !

Cane Corpus is only available from Don Barlone, and can only be used by a fairy ninja. It is short-range.

If your fairy has no Staff&Wand experience, or you convert a high-level spellcaster to fairy ninja, their performance will be disappointing. I switched a level 18 fairy alchemist to ninja, and at level 24 he still doesn't hit very often.

Started typing this out at work and forgot about it for about 20 minutes, thus RBrown beat me to it.

Nope and Nope, the Cane of Corpus can only be taken from Don Barlone and it is Short Range and CURSED. Which means unless your right on top of the baddies your Fairy Ninja ain't gonna be much of a help. Only way around this, is having a good magic casting Fairy Ninja which isn't too difficult or having a Bishop or other Magic Caster cast Remove Curse when necessary to free up your Fairy for some throwing weapons or alternate weapon usage.

This is my second time through the game and I started with a fairy ninja this time. As someone previously posted, dual classed ninjas are rather ineffectual. Don was near impossible to kill since I tried it at 9th level and the results were quite disappointing. My samurai with 100 sword skill wielding bloodlust still does twice as much damage as my fairy ninja (coc plus sprite's dagger) with the chance of lightning strike on top (although coc does crit a little more often). Fairy ninjas also aren't very good tanks, so having them up front is often a bad idea. The only consolation is that my ninja poisons and paralyzes fairly often. So he's really just for softening monsters up for my fighter and samurai to take out. Maybe the trick is to pump strength instead, but that sacrifices your critical hit skill.

Try COC and Winterwand, or Thunderstick. That will build your Staff&Wand skill faster. Sprites Dagger is nice but it builds a different skill.

When you get to "easy" places, uncurse the COC and switch to Winterwand/Thunderstick plus shurikens/knives/darts. The battles will last longer and the fairy gets more practice. In fact, downgrade as many weapons as possible to increase everyones attacks.

At AP you can also acquire the rod of sprites a useful weapon good for fairies with excellent damage and a 50% chance of hexing your qppqnent.

I'm still in early stages of the game, and the Fairy is a pain. All you have is the Shillelah & Faerie Stick. The Fairy misses hitting the monsters about 80% of the time, and when does hit, its usally a 1 hit, or once in a long while a 4 hit of damage. I'm teaching it to throw and built its strength up to 60, and then on each power up build up dex, speed, and senses. I also have kept it in front line to gain exp. for the fututre COC it will have. But so far it is a drain on my party. By the time you get the better weapons --- is having a Fairy worth it?

Get the Hayai Bo from Crock or Kunar. It is extended so you can put him in the center or side. It is also +1 to hit and has higher damage. I always give one to RFS-81 to practice until he gets the Z-Bo.
