Gabriel (Guest) (1 posts) Apr-10-03, 12:45 PM (Pacific) "Questions" I have beaten the game 2 times and plan to go back to it. I'd like to know a few things that I havn't figured out yet. 1) Is there anyway to get into the Rapax Treasury Room? 2) Where in the Swamp is a pit where you can create cherry bombs with a bottle. 3) Where is the sword: Gilbert the Bastard's rapier? 4) What happens if you don't join the T'rang or Umpani? The so stupid and don't even realise that I'm working with both of them! 5) What happens if you kill Crock before he kiddnaps a party member? 6) Is the best party in Wizardry 8 the following: Fighter Rouge Bard Preist Mage Gadgeteer Big thanks to anyone who can answer these.   Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

gator (0 posts) Apr-10-03, 01:13 PM (Pacific) 1. "RE: Questions" 1. Have not personally done this, but I have read that it is well established that you cannot get into that room. You may make withdrawals via the deposit slips. 2. Go to the area marked "Black Pool". Just use an empty bottle on the pool. The below map is from http://www.volberding.com/Wizardry8/Wiz8Main.htm 3. Not sure what that is. There is a Bastard Sword and a Saint Bastard in the game and there is a plain Rapier. 4. I believe you just need to get a Mook Alliance letter from one or the other to get the CM. You can do this by joining either one or by killing off either one. 5. Not sure. I have read though that this is a necessary step for solo if you do not want to recruit NPCs to kill Brekek. So one would surmise that the kidnapping does not occur. 6. That's quite a question to ask, one which could be endlessly debated. A better question would be "how does this party sound?" Personally, I think it is a pretty good party, though I am reluctant to go through a game without Alchemy (Ranger, Ninja, Alchemist, Bishop) as they are the money maker for the party.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I kill him most of the time as the kidnap thing bugs me. I have finished the game around 5 times and still have a couple of questions of my own: 1) Has anyone found a way to use the computer terminals in the upper monastery that say "no effect", or is this another thing like the well or the trynton pedestal where there is no use. 2) dead frog - is this just another lodestone type useless item?   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
