"Mana Regen-Bard-Help Please"
I have a bard that is level 15. I made 2 mistakes: one was making the bard a male instead of female. So, I can't use the necklaces of Regeneration to rebuild mana. The second mistake was not building piety on level changes...it is about 40 and some of the other stats are about 80-90.

The char is GREAT. One of my most powerful two. He just rocks on instruments. In the early mid game, his paralyze and insanity spells let me just sit back and pick off everyone with my archers and other long distance weapons. It was great! Later in the game, his turncoat, armor melt and Hex make it possible for me to survive huge gangs of spell casters in Rapax Rift.

The problem is that I get only one or sometimes two rounds before he needs Mana. I either have to have him drink heavy mana every round, through a Stamina spell from my bishop or he goes unconscious. As everyone knows there aren't rounds to waste doing this when there are 6 spellthrowers, 5 samarai and whatever else all bent on distruction.

Short of hacking the game and changing him to her, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get and keep mana up.

Thanks in advance

1. "First, the obvious"
You will probably finish on Ascension peak around level 22, so you can still add 3*7=21 points to strength and vitality. An Ankh of Vitality? will boost hit points and stamina. There are other rings and armor that will boost it, but I don't think Bards can wear the Infinity Helm.

Check everything in your inventory for vitality boosters and equip some on the bard. Pickmeup potions and Restoration will restore hit points and stamina.

2. "Stamina regen"
(Mana is magic, the blue bar ... Stamina is yellow)

It seems you have a really good handle on everything and are up against the same levelling limitation we all are ... that the game imposes on Male bards (and Gadgeteers) ... you can't just continually cast super spells, w/o falling asleep. I think even female bards fall alseep sometimes ...

Once you have maxed out as a Bard (level 18* and 100 points in Music), you could change to a Lord for stamina regen class bonus. I keep thinking you would lose the 25% Music skill bnus, but Bards don't have that ... no one does (you lose the 25% Communication skill bonus ... big deal.

You could then also wear better armor and probably some that has HP and Stamina regen (like the Infinity Helm).

When it comes down to hex-editing your character's gender ... that is just not right

3. "RE: Stamina regen"
Llevram, Fighters get the Stanima Regen. Lords get Health Regen, and also can equip unlimited health-reducing things without losing but 1 HP for one round, then regaining it.

you can't be expected to be 100% right 100% of the time. you've got so much knowledge, it's virtually impossible to always be right.
that's where the rest of us come in. alleviate the burden. ease your workload. not to mention make a few friends along the way.
