"Under The Bridge"
Someone (on this board or the VN board) mentioned that you could walk under the north-east end of the swamp bridge and explore the river. I have tried it out and it works. I even found two exit points on the southwest shoreline.

Watch the ground carefully. You can walk off the ends of the river and get "crushed". You can also walk through the rocks and underneath the trees. Scuba gear is not needed.

1. "RE: Under The Bridge"
That was me who posted that. I never explored the east side of the bridge...only the west. You found exit points? Where did they lead to?

Were you actually able to get out of the river? I couldn't (got crushed before I found a way).

The bottom rises up, your head goes above the scum line and you walk up on shore. You can't get back in the river there, but you can get out. I didn't find anything interesting except the insides of the rocks and trees above me.

2. "How far "Under" do you want to go :? "
At one point (I don't know if this is still in there), I found that I could sink into the ground. In the swamp, where the road/path goes under a fallen log, I went up the bank to hide under the log (some Rynjin scavengers were after me).

I kept pressing forward (using mouse movement), then let go when it seemed I could go no further. I noticed that even though I had let go, my party was still slightly inching forward. I let it go, continued watching, then they started sinking .... forward and down, ever slowly, then zoom! The bottom apparently dropped out, all went black (or gray) and my party was (of course) crushed

4. "Speaking of logs ..."
LAST EDITED ON Oct-25-02 AT 03:15 PM (Pacific)

That large rock in the swamp, with logs leaning on it. Has anyone found a way to climb up there? I have tried to get a running start but I slow down and slide back.

And if SirTech (or whoever handles the name in the future) wants to create an add-on, they could just create a "grappling hook and rope" and rig the program to raise you up 10-20 feet and let you move a few feet forward. And rig the program to not crush you when you fall off the edge of the world, just pop up a warning box and move you back one step. The wouldn't have to create one single pixel of new territory, just let me get to the stuff I can see from below !!!

Our people can walk dozens of miles and wear 100 pounds of armor but they can't climb over a 4 foot high rail? I would love to explore the Martens Bluff rooftop but I can't climb a 2 foot high railing ? And the guard towers of Arnika Jail and Fort Mt Gigas and the walled-off areas of Trynnie Cemetary. And I want to scuba-dive Arnika Harbor and Southeast Wilderness Beach.

I want a grappling hook and 50 feet of good rope !!

5. "It is still there"
Took me forever to find it (on the north side of the bridge), then to get enough time to let it happen (dang DireMares and Oozite looky-loos .... "Hey, what is that party doing over there near the quicksand" ) .. but eventually, I fell right through the ground (and was crushed).
