"RE: My Ninja sucks 22 level" The only gripe I have about ninjas in W8 is that throwing weapons(besides the lowly feather darts) are in VERY short supply and the ninja cannot be at full potential without them.If you start building mace and flail skill from the get-go and buy a pair of nunchaku when they become available then the ninja makes a decent melee fighter but it would have been nice if shuriken/throwing knives were as available as spike stones and hunter quarrels.There are also a couple of decent spears that a ninja with polearm skill can wield but still...   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

If you don't have a ninja in your party then shuriken and throwing knives are found all over the place. kinda like, if you have a faerie you can't seem to find spider silk or venom crab shells, if you don't have a faerie they are everywhere. sometimes it seems the game engine figures out what you need and makes it very scarce.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Plastus (Guest) (0 posts) Aug-21-02, 05:57 AM (Pacific) 7. "MY Ninja rocks level 22..." ...although she really needed time to develop. 'til lv 20 or so I was quite disappointed, but now with crit at max, boomerang shuriken in one hand and various thrown in the other she became 2nd in kills (after fighter). I also bought tons of death stars from ferro which I'll save for harder battles to come. In melee range she uses The Mauler and a chako (both w/ lots of k.o.'s!). Plus she can set+return to portals, heal, throw canned elementals / death bombs / pandemonium powder... - I can't complain! Ok my lv 25 fighter deals like 200% more damage w/ his excalibur but he's not half as versatile (since I raised INT to 35 he grasped the concept of a 'Bow', before he would tell the others: "who cares about bows if you've got Power Strike at 80?"). For a balanced party I think fighter+ninja make up for a very effective front line. I maxed spd, she's got decent DX, SE, STR (in that order) and concentrated on mace+flail, thrown, criticals, stealth. She's a Felpurr btw.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
