"martens tomb"
I am in the sea caves and I have the key to martens tomb but it want open the lock. It keeps telling me that a specific item is required here. What am I doing wrong? I have fought the big boss, got the spike boots and looted the two chests. Is there another way to enter the tomb? Or is this the the other side of the door to entrance where you had to use the sledgehammer to the wall? Any help would be appreciated.

The key to Marten's tomb is not the obvious one right near where you fought the Crypt Keeper. In order to find it you will need to use your spiked boots and your plank.

Wearing the boots with plank in hand go gown the west passageway down the slippery sslope to the hole in the floor.place the plank walk across and eventually you come to a door That is Martens tomb. The door you are trying to unlock is the uther side of the door you found when you broke the wall with the sledgehammer. Marten will guve you the key to that door.
