"Questions about elite professions"
I've already passed the game with the party of 3fighters, bard, gargeeter and ranger. I want to pass it once more using elite professions, but I'd like to ask several questions about them^
1. Is their magic useful or am I better to concetrate on their melee skills?
2. If to use magic, what level of spells can they reach?
3. And maybe you can give an advice what elite professions are most useful?
Thanks in advance

1. "RE: Questions about elite professions"
I'm doing the same thing. I finished the game a few weeks ago and have been researching to put together a new party. I went to the "Ironworks Forum" and found links there that have helped a great deal.

I found charts on every weapon, spell, and a full write up on all the races including where to put your level points that will advance your party quicker, what weapons they use best, etc.

There is even a spread sheet you can download that you enter in the stats of your spell caster and it will tell you if spells are available to them.

Its been fun just to see all the information out there.

My next time through the game I plan on getting info that will fill the gaps on some of the data including the walkthrough.

I'm sure you will find what you need in all the links at this site..............have fun

2. "Elite professions spells"
They are the same (Monk and Psionic for instance get teh same spells), but the elite have to wait five levels to start getting them.

Depending on your party composition, you may wnat to concentrate on melee or magic, on a per character basis. For instance, if you have no mage, but have a samurai, you might want to concentrate on spells more than melee, for that character.

Any alchemist-based elite is useful, if you plan to make your own potions and sell them for money. I find I always like having a Monk, for the mental spells and because they are effective while blind.
