"The stealth skill"
Hi folks,

my solo-Faerie-Ninja discovered an interesting fact about the stealth skill (which you are probably all aware of...). It seems that the skill not only increases the AC, thus making the character harder to hit, it also prevents the enemy from attacking. I no-ticed that monsters within range just defend, because they can’t see the Ninja. This feature was probably brought into the game as a replacement for the good old “hide in combat” – option in Wiz 6+7. Although this is very cool there are two drawbacks:

1) Companions who don’t have the stealth-skill are more likely to be attacked. The Ninja once recruited Vi and she was killed twice in Arnika, simply because she was attacked by everyone who couldn’t see the Ninja.

2) Just like dead, webbed, stoned etc. characters, a char with high stealth can be bypassed by the attacking forces, so that the characters in the centre aren’t 100% protected from melee attacks anymore. So be careful when using monks, ninjas or thieves as flank or rear fighters.

Bye
Kuli
