In case you missed it. Wiz 6,7 & 8 are now available on GOG and Steam. I got three for under $5.00 on Steam. I think the regular price is $10.

Yeah, got this bundle, too.
The included Dosbox should be edited a little bit, but that's not a hard task.

Yeah, it's been out for awhile...posted something about it in the other forum. Good to see folks are still playing.

I tried to buy and use the Steam versions because, according to the description they contained some cool new features/patches or some such but after buying them and trying to install them they did not work. After a back and forth with tech support I was told that the reason was that I use Windows XP and these are for Windows 7 and above.

Strange that games as old as Wizardry 6 and 7 should require modern crappy Windows OSes but I got my money back and just stick with the GoG versions (which I have owned since Gog first obtained them).

EDIT: One important thing about the GoG version of Wizardry 8 though: For some reason Gog has included some sort of 'Glide' wrapper (NGlide?) or some such because a minority of players could not run the game due to some conflict with...openGL or something (I am obviously not a tech guy) but this made W8 unplayable for a HUGE number of us. There is an easy fix though if you are experiencing the problem of being unable to run the game after install (crashes at opening or black screen): Simply delete all files associated with the Glide wrapper (Dll file extensions... all have "3Dfxspl..." followed sometimes by a '2' or '3') and the Glide thing itself (Which is probably named "3Dfx.exe" itself. Can't remember offhand as it has been a while).
