"DragonQuest Wizardry Scenario"
Hi everyone.

I've been hard at work lately and thought I'd drop a line concerning the DragonQuest Wizardry Scenario. It is now 75% completed as of April 21st,2000. I've completed the maze and text/storyline and populated levels 1 to 5 with monsters. What's left is populating levels 6-10 with monsters, create some 20 more items(101 total) and play-test it. All levels are so full of features that I'm running out of space. I promise this will be a good scenario and am very satisfied with it. The level of difficulty increases as you go down the maze. To give you an idea, it will be harder than Wiz 1-2-3 but easier than Wiz 4 which was an expert-level scenario. I can't really compare to Wiz 5 since it was a much bigger game in scope (it had many more diskettes) although I personally found the battles easy in Wiz 5.

Bonus: I beat my brains at the special features section and with much trial and error uncovered 5 new maze features never used in the original scenario and it is all for you to find! This just shows that we still don't know everything about the Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord scenario even after 19 years and thousands of people hacking at it and I know that there is still more stuff hidden in there! Another challenge was to find out exactly how much experience points each monster gives; it is a combination of some 11 variables and required quite a bit of hacking/trial&error work.
