Mac2PC (Guest) (1 posts) Jun-22-01, 11:30 AM (Pacific) "Mahaman" When I was younger (80's) I played Wiz1 on the Macintosh. In that version, casting Mahaman gave you a choice of effects. When you went back to the castle, you could immediately regain your lost level at the inn. You did not lose any hit points or attributes when you cast the spell and gained 1 hp on the level up. Thus I ended with a L13 mage with all 18's and 199 hp. This did not work the same in Wiz2 on the Mac. How does haman/mahaman work in the AppleII and UWA versions of the game? Snafaru (Guest) (13 posts) Jun-24-01, 05:46 PM (Pacific) 1. "RE: Mahamana and Haman" As far as I know (AFAIK) here's the deal with the Apple and UWA(IBM) versions of the Haman and Mahaman spells: ... The effects of this spell are random, but usually helpful. The caster must be 13th level or higher, and loses 1 level of experience after casting it. "Haman" has 5 possible effects: 1.teleport monsters (win the battle) 2.cure party (restores all HP of everybody except those that are dead or in ashes) 3.silence all monsters (this works 100% and never fails) 4.cure all conditions (poisoned, paralysed, stoned, slept but doesn't resurrect the dead) 5.enhance magic power which turns the monsters non-resistant against magic "Mahaman" is like Haman above plus 2 new possible effects: 6.protect (party AC-10) 7.resurrect dead (resurrects the dead, AND heals the alive ones completely) ...
