I got the Ultimate Wizardry collection, and the manual for that is... uh... doesn't mention V's plot anyway, and there doesn't seem to be a lot in the ways of in-game narrative. Also, the IV manual is also crap. Can I actually control my monsters? What is equipment used for? Werdna doesn't seem to be able to equip any. also, er, the screen that lists item drops after combat never stays up very long. How do I search the ground for items to pick up? Llylgamyn's in trouble again, because the Triaxial Gate, from which all elemental forces enter the world, is out of alignment. Usually a being called The Guardian takes care of the balance and protects the people from its ill effects, but he's now trapped in the center of this elemental rift (the Heart of the Maelstrom). The person behind trapping him in there is a rather hot sorceress named the Sorn. It's your job to take her out and free the Guardian, bringing peace to the realm. Never played Wizardry IV before. LAST EDITED ON May-21-08 AT 12:17 PM (Pacific) No, you cannot control your monsters, only choose which ones to summon. Use the 'SPACE' key to speed up messages not the 'RETURN' and you will be able to use the loot screen. There is no search for loot after that. Equipment give some AC and bonuses.
