Over the past almost 3 years (as far back as I know of), there were (and still is) the Official Wizardry 8 Bulletin Board, (originally) run by the Vault Network.From time to time, for various reasons, they would shuck it all and start their boards all over again, on a new host. We never really got any real support from their staff with issues of people flaming the board, spamming, and just getting registered (again and again, every time they dumped the board and started a new one).
Back around the end of last year, Vault Networks were bought/absorbed/whatever by IGN/Snowball. We were dumped yet again and again around the beginning of this year. The latest iteration was no better - the worst so far IMO - still login/registration problems, slow access, no HTML in posts, still no support even after some of us offered to help moderate. So, fed up with the whole thing I started an interim board, which was live for about a month, until I bought the software to run this board ... and fired it up.
The general consensus is this one is better (and many would add ... at least we have a moderator 
)
