"some observations regarding magic resistance"
I'm solely talking about basic magic resistance, not about enhancements by spells or items.

1. Mages get +5 to the resistance of all six realms, not 5%.

2. Rawulfs magic divine resistance should be +15, not +5.

3. Realm skill value contributes to that realm resistance by skill/10 (rounded down). Example: Fire Magic is at 43, thus +4 fire resistance for that character.

4. Mages get a resistance bonus in the mental realm, depending on either INT or wizardry or both.

5. Priests get a resistance bonus in the divine realm, depending on either PIE or divinity or both.

6. No observations so far about bishops, alchemists and psionics.

7. It seems to me that hybrid classes don't get such a bonus, i.e. a valkyrie get no bonus in divine resistance.

8. Iron will increases the resistance of all six realms considerably. My party is not advanced enough for an exact formula, but it could be something like +5 when unlocking the skill and +1 every ten points of iron will.

Any comments or corrections?

1. "RE:-Evaluate your observations"
2. right, the manual is wrong here.
4. Int is the factor.
5. Pie is the factor.
6. Bishop gets both above; Psi and Alc get nothing.
8. The formula is much simpler: one point of resistance for every 5 of Iron Will.
Bonus: I don't know if the final patch fixes this, but Faeries get an extra 10% in Mental above everything else, in light blue, regardless of class, attributes, or skills.

3. "mental/devine increased resistance for mages/priests "
Thank you, otter, for your reply.

>4. Int is the factor.
>5. Pie is the factor.

Then it is +1 resistance in that realm (mental/divine) for every two points INT/PIE above 80.

>6. Bishop gets both above; Psi
>and Alc get nothing.

That means a disadvantage for Psi and Alc and an advantage for mages on top of their +5 in every magic realm.

>8. The formula is much simpler:
>one point of resistance for every 5 of Iron Will.

This seems strange to me. My rawulf priest gets +6 resistance in every real with iron will=5 and +7 with iron will=14.

4. "RE: priests "
All casters get one point lf resistance for every ten of skill in each realm, so if yours has 50's then that makes 6 with 5 and 7 with 14 in IW. And 8 when you get to 15.
