"RangerBard.Help plz"
Hey everybody thanks for reading my message and replying, but my
ranger is kickin major tail but noticed some really cool bard instruments, and thinking of changing his class to bard. I'm new to playing W8 and had a question:

My Ranger is lvl 15 Will my ranger skills transfer over to the bard or is all the goodies that the ranger has will be gone?
along with equiping ranger only items?

What's the best ranger bow in the game to use you think? right now I'm using tripleshot crossbow and nothing else comes close to it in firepower and # of hits.

Thanks!!

Switching from Ranger to Bard - You'll lose all of the "Ranger only" abilities like Auto-search and the ranged criticals, can't equip any Ranger specific weapons either.

Also, you may be a level 1 Bard but will need the experience points for a level 16 Bard for your next level up. The game uses "total" character level for calculating the experience needed for the next level-up. So your new level 1 Bard will have a long wait for level 2 as a Bard.

Another note, instruments, and gadgets for the gadgeteer, have both skill AND level requirments before you can use them.

Class switching should be done early.

Spence

The Ranger skill will stay, but the ones spec. for Ranger will not develop further.
Some of the Bard instrument require a certain Bard level to be able to use...
My fav is a Elven Ranger using Elven Bow. Trippleshoot is also nice of course.

The Elven bow (FYI) is an import from Wiz7. The best bow (ranger on;y) is the Eagle eye bow. If you are strong enough (STR 85 Bow 30) the Strong bow is great for inflecting major damage. Seige Atbelast and Hunters Bow do almost as much with no special requirements. Tripleshot is good because of the hi firing rate though its accuracy leaves something to be desired,

4. "Strong Bow problem"
When a player gets hexed, their strength drops below minimum and the Strong Bow de-equipps, usually to the party load. I stick with Great Bow for that reason.

That is why I only use the Strong Bow with a character that has 105+ STR. Bards are good for that( 2 RotR and CC adds 50 ). A Fighter with an Ankh of Might and 100 STR can use one too. For everyone else, Great Bows or Eagle Eye Bow. And when I find one, Siege Arbalest is great.
