Scone (0 posts) May-13-04, 08:58 AM (Pacific) "Importing from Wiz Gold" I do not have a finished Wiz 7 (Gold) game with this new machine...have tried to import an in progress game, but the Wiz 8 load game screen does not bring up the in progress game...does it have to be finished, or do I need to move the in progress file to Wiz 8??...or do something else??   Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

rbrown (2 posts) May-13-04, 11:03 AM (Pacific) 1. "RE: Importing from Wiz Gold" I believe there is an Import folder in the Wiz 8 Saves folder. Copy the file there and try importing. Visit New City and re-equip your people before the transfer. As a general rule, high-quality leather armor will transfer. Potions transfer 5 at a time. Arrows and stones transfer 50-15 at a time depending on how damaging they are. Spear+2 and Elven Bow transfers, but light sword, Rod of Sprites and other super weapons will not. Ebony Plate and Mantis-anything will not, but a Crusaders Helm will transfer sometimes. Wrist Rockets and Enchanted Bow and Great Bow will transfer. Bring extra leather armor, alchemists can wear it now.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Rbrown gave you the solution to that: the file needs to be copied into the Wiz8 imports folder.
