"Killing the Rapax King and getting away with it"
Tonignt when I brought my party to the away camp, I went to see the Rapax King. He gave me a stockade key and told me to go interrogate the prisoners. Then I clicked the 'attack' button and killed the king and the one templar on his right. All the Rapax Templar became neutral (yellow). I looted the cave key from his corpse, went in the cave to see the queen, and killed her too. Killing the queen seems to make the templar happy, as the faction rating became 'Friendly' and all the templars were green again.

another fun fact about the rapax king is that he is always friendly in the first place, no matter what your faction rating is. I edited a savegame to waltz through the camp without a scratch. I ran to the king's tent without killing anybody in the process. When reaching him, he even cast a Body of Stone spell on me and he summoned an elemental. Only after killing one of the other rapax in the camp he became hostile. The elemental remained green.

After 20 months I'm still hearing about new tricks in the game.

I did it slightly different; just to get the 250k + exp..
I visited the king, got the stockade key, set up a portal around a corner, rescued Drazic-Rodan, teleported out and made peace between the Umpani and Trang. After shooting down Savant's ship, I teleported back and the screen was full of red dots..
Big fight, those Templar masters have really high magic resistance, but after a solid 60 mins, all 36 "dots" were gone and the 250k + exp was all mine.
I also noticed that killing the queen increased the faction rating, but.... no way enough to make the Rapax in the castle even yellow. I also noticed that she made different drops every time I killed her, I wonder what the best stuff could be.
The best I got, was a Gown of the Divinemail. Anyone with better luck?

There's another, slightly less risky way to do it.

Two words: Death Bomb. (evil grin)

Creatures killed by area death effects seem to not get you in trouble for the kill, no matter what it was. That's how I whacked Al-Sedexus and 14 summoned Templar without a single faction hit.
