"Mana regeneration" |
It's too quiet in here, so I thought I'd post a recent discovery. Mana regeneration in Bane occurs for each character POSITION on an hourly basis. (I haven't tried to measure whether it is at EXACTLY one-hour intervals, but it appears to be as close as oh-never-mind. Thus, for example, if the character in the first position regenerates mana on minute 1, the characters in the remaining six positions regenerate mana on minutes 11, 21, 31, 41 and 51, respectively. For the non-obsessive compulsive out there (or, for that matter, for the MEDICATED obsessive compulsive), this probably doesn't mean much, but if you are ever trying to bring a party through without sleeping, it can mean a great deal, as you can shift your high-magic/high-mana regeneration characters around in the different positions to increase their regeneration rates. In my current four character party (bless their souls!), the big mana characters are the Rawulf (started Priest) and Faerie (started Alchemist), both of whom have at least double the regeneration rate and several times the spell points maximums of the other two characters (Elf started Ranger; Human started Bard). By sacrificing the Elf's and Human's regeneration opportunities, I can double the regeneration of the other two characters, which overall nets me more mana.
