I've heard about it, but don't know what it is/does. Could someone explain?

or perhaps you mean the 'other' equip bug.

It's when you cast a cloud-type spell at a group of creatures (firestorm, poison gas etc.) and in the next round you let everyone equip. The cloud will do its stuff each time you exit the inventory screen, so you can get 6x the cloud effect in 1 round.
