so I am still rolling to get +18's and was wondering.....Race??? How important is this really?

I try to keep 2 faries so that I can use 2 canes of corpus. I like Elves and Gnomes as well.
I am playing 6 but have a party in 7 that has a Lizardman (26 roll) which I like for a samarui.

Someone suggested a Mook as they will have some unique ability in 8.

What is your favorite race?

1. "Favorites...hmmm"
My favorites are definately the Elves. Have always been since the day of Wiz 1. But I have been trying out other races too.

I like the faeries and the Dracons, next.

Where did you see her?? I am curious...

I thought that she fit my samurai side much better than any of the other pictures that I have come across.

You tell me...

I'll have to start searching. Maybe it was one of my fantasy books? I know I have seen her before. I'll do a little searching and get back to you. She does look like she could kick a butt or two without breaking a sweat.

2. "Mook"
It's unclear what special power the Mooks will have in W8 -- but I suspect that if it's really cool, you'll always be able to pick up a Mook NPC to journey along with you... I think the Mook is the only race that I've never played -- it just doesn't really seem that they have much to offer... but I have been wondering about their origin since W6. I don't think I'd go out of my way to have a mook in my party just for the purpose of exporting to W8.

I like having a variety of races in my party. Pick something that fits well with the character class. I found that the Mook makes a great Samurai, being very intelligent, and has magic resistance to boot. The Felpurr is great for many classes. I made mine a Monk, and in the fourth position the Felpurr's dexterity helps him avoid projectiles. I also have a Rawulf Lord, a great combination of strength and piety. Of course the Faerie Ninja is a must, not just because of the Cane of Corpus, but since the Ninja does not use alot of heavy weapons and armor he doesn't suffer the drawbacks of other classes. A Hobbit Bard makes for an excellent lock picker and pickpocket. The intelligent and pious Elf is a natural for the bishop class.
