"Party party!"
Hi there!

Been playing for a while with a group with
Fig-valk-sam-nin-pri-mag
And reached the mines, but now Iīm gonna start over, aiīnt happy with my party. The Fig. is brilliant, the valk. sucks! (to little HP) the sam. is king, the ninja good enough. The priest (has been a priest all the time) aiīnt good enough and the mage is very good (has been a alc for a short time)
They all are in lever 9-10, exept the mage who is in level 6.

Will play with another party next time (today)

Lizardman - Fighter
Lizardman - Fighter
Felpurr - Samurai
Felpurr - Ninja
Elf - Bishop (will change to alchemist-mage-priest)
Elf - Bishop (will change to alchemist-mage-priest)

The spellcasters is the most important to watch when they gain level, the bishops will change easily in level 5-6, but must have added points to dexterity from the beginning and when gaining levels. Then play the alchemistīs til level 5-6 (goes fast) and change them to mages (already has int 12) then play them to level 5-6 and change them to priestīs (must have gained piety 12 when changing levels) then play them as priestīs till level 5-6, then change one of them back to mage (again int 12 is a must!)
This should be done before jumping the rope to the mines.
Now you will have great spellcasters (many spells & spellpoints) and the fighters will have much HP and a great melee power. The samurai should have pretty much in kirijutsi, as like the ninja.

Now you could let the mage and priest change profession one more time (mage to priest and priest to mage) but you really should let them gain levels in the mines so they can cast the greater spells in the pyramids.

If you love to create characters (rolling, rolling, rolling) you can make two rawulf-lords insted of the fighters, but you must roll at least bonus 21 (to get str 18) but i really think that the extra healing power aint worth the time.

Roll the fighters with bonus 18 to get str 18, vit 18, spe 18
the samurai with bonus 16 to get spe 18
the ninja with bonus 23 (hard one, 21 will do it) to get spe 18 (16 will do it)
The elves with bonus 14 so they can start as bishops with dex 13

Aint to hard to roll
18
18
16
23 (21)
14
14

The ninja of course is the hard deal, but since your rolling a felpurr you can always make a better samurai if you "only" roll a bonus below 21 (over 16)

Now lets see if this party will be as good as i think it will!

Comments?

Greetings!

Oh yees!
My party is simply the best, but of course they will be better...

Rolled a lizardmanfighter with bonus 18, and one with bonus 24!!
The second one now have str 19, vit+dex+spe 18 ! Pretty good, their melee power is just awsome! No valk or lord can even be compared to them in melee power, and after all... Do you REALLY need that extra healing power that a valk or lord gives you? No!

The samurai got bonus 19, spe 18 from the start, and the ninja got bonus 24, spe 18...

But the brilliant part really is the bishop start. They started as bishops, became alchemists (easy change) and then mageīs (again, easy to change) then priestīs, then they swaped a few times between mage and priest. Elves are really great as this kind of spellcasters since they only have to gain two points in int or pie. They where also thieves for a couple of levels, just to gain the ninjutsu skill...

Has anyone noticed that you can make the ninja lower his ac twice when he gains level? First he lowers it one step, then if you rewiev the ninja and equip him, he will sometimes lower it ones again... does the ninjutsu skill affect the ac?

Another thought... is it possible to fish in the river styx? Not just on the X spot... what if you can fish, and maybe get a cameo or something like that? anyone tried to drag the river styx?!

Currently iīm in the river, iīm playing without maps this time (played a couple of years ago with maps though) and I canīt find that cork to my wine bottle! And what was it that I should store at the kuwali kabona? I remember there was some code, but I donīt remember where to find it, was it at the fearies in the forest?
Anyway, this game really is great, but hard... to play without maps that is. I searched every room for that spire key when I had finished the mines, and I just couldīnt remember where to find it! Finally, of course, I did... but then I had forgotten that wiz ring inside that da*n diamond in the mines. The mines where really hard without maps, of course i draw maps my self over the dark sections.

Now Iīm considering to try to change one of my spellcasters again, this time to a valk just to use that meanads lance. But I donīt know if its worth it... To be without two great spellcasters in the river seems really hard. Those da*n sirens make me go insane all the time, of course I try to silence them, but my spellcasters aiīnt so fast (since they changed prof. all the times) That really is the bad part about it, the never get any super stats. =(

Only readers.. no comments??

Inga svenskar här eller? =)

One of the things that got me so involved into the Wizardry series was drawing maps, up to Wizardry 6 of the whole game, in Wizardry 7 only the cities. I have tried fishing in the river, but other than that particular spot to no avail, but maybe there's an undiscovered easter egg hidden somewhere. About Kuwali, ask the caterpillar if he knows something about it... and I hope you got the sound working, since the goblin's laughter is just too good.

Bishops, they're not real bishops, they're just mage and priest all mixed up. What i can suggest is to create a mage and switch it to a priest, then vice versa to the other elf. You gain pretty much the same but a lot quicker.
