matt wallace (Guest) (2 posts) Feb-16-02, 12:40 PM (Pacific) "stuck at magic words" On the MS DOS bane, when I've got my party together and am ready to start the game, the game asks me to input two "magicwords". Having lost the manual, I have no idea what the magic words are, and when I type two words in, the game exits to DOS. I remember four or so years ago being able to play the game, but I can't remember how I got past the "magicwords". Someone PLEASE help me!   Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: stuck at magic words" The problem you're facing is simply this: In the version you're playing, you are asked to type in a response to the symbols. Those are/were located in the manual. I'd send you a copy of them but I lost them some time back. The only way around that is to either hunt around for them, or pick up a copy of the Ultimate Wizardry Archives. That has all the games up to Dark Savant and Gold. The Bane version will ask you for the same info *but* all you need do is hit enter and in you go. Hagaar.
