I've been editting my Scenario heavily for the past couple of weeks, and feel obligated to share my changes with you. The game is now a bit more powerful, and alot more dangerous, with a completely different 'plot'.Primarily I didn't like the whole 'new planet' scenario, and opted for something that fitted a 'first time playing a wizardry game' type of scenario.
The last thing you remember was you and your army winning against the hoardes of chaos that were sweeping through the lands. With the aide of the Gorn, Munks and Dane your armies had finally swept most of the chaos back from whence it came. However, you were mortally wounded in the process. The ArchMagus T'rya Queroni was saying something about returning when 'the world needs you again'. Then all went black. You awaken in a strange setting surrounded by trees around an open field.
Basically my edits make the 'natives' of the planets into Allies, and the T'Rang, Umpani and Savant into invaders. The first person you meet, a Helazoid, tells you of your need, and directions to the Dungeon long forgotten (Newbie Dungeon). She also advices you to seek Brother Moser and ask about a 'Holy Sacrament' (allowing you to use the fountain from the beginning).
There is no letter about Paluke. That has been replaced with Samurai equipment from a long-lost adventurer. Do-Maru set, Kabuto, Cuir Gauntlets, and Buskins. The first Dungeon treasure chest contains PlateMail Armour, Mail Mitts, Chain Hosen, and the first magic items, a Crusader Helm and Crusader's Axe. The other Dungeon Treasure contains 250 Shrike arrows with common Ranger gear. Studded Chausses, Studded Hauberk, QuarterStaff, Leather Boots, Chamois gloves, and a Leather Helm.
All the creatures are doubled and tripled. My first battle was against 8 BitterBugs to get to the Dungeon Fountain. 6-8 bugs, increased chance of 'help', etc.
The final battle in the dungeon, against a sup'd up Rasepratep resulted in the best treasure of the entire game. 6 items of Regeneration. Elven Bow, 2 Faerie Caps, Cameo Locket, Diamond Ring, and an Amulet of Healing.
However, the only 'fountain' that does any healing at all in the game isthe newbie fountain. The Holy Sacrament only regens mana (at half the original rate), and the only other fountain in the game that regens anything is in Munkharama, which regens Stamina.
Admittedly, the 'regen items' as well as the armour 'treasures' were tailor made for my party.
Female Hobbit - Lord (Diamond Ring)
Male Rawulf - Samurai (Cameo Locket)
Female Faerie - Bard (Faerie Cap)
Male Faerie - Ninja (Faerie Cap)
Female Elf - Ranger (Elven Bow)
Male Elf - Bishop (Amulet of Healing)
I've been having a blast playing again, and despite the 'cheating' am finding it tons more difficult to do stuff. Just getting past the Savant Trooper (who no longer lets you in for Paluke's) was hell with the number of Guards that are with him. The Shadow Guardians (Gorn finale) summoned a hoarde of Ghosts to get past. All the grand final battles in each of the areas was tripled in difficulty. The crypt has me worried, it's almost purely demons now, and all increased in power and numbers. The 'wilds' are all Godzyllis, Conquillados, Rexx's and Dragons.
Anyhows, just finished the Gorn Castle (after the New City) and am heading to the T'Rang to 'purge' the world of them, now that the Gorn have agreed to support the Munks in fighting off the off-worlders.
Well, just felt like rambling about the game a bit. That's all for now. ;)
