"My Latest Endeavor"
I've been editting my Scenario heavily for the past couple of weeks, and feel obligated to share my changes with you. The game is now a bit more powerful, and alot more dangerous, with a completely different 'plot'.

Primarily I didn't like the whole 'new planet' scenario, and opted for something that fitted a 'first time playing a wizardry game' type of scenario.

The last thing you remember was you and your army winning against the hoardes of chaos that were sweeping through the lands. With the aide of the Gorn, Munks and Dane your armies had finally swept most of the chaos back from whence it came. However, you were mortally wounded in the process. The ArchMagus T'rya Queroni was saying something about returning when 'the world needs you again'. Then all went black. You awaken in a strange setting surrounded by trees around an open field.

Basically my edits make the 'natives' of the planets into Allies, and the T'Rang, Umpani and Savant into invaders. The first person you meet, a Helazoid, tells you of your need, and directions to the Dungeon long forgotten (Newbie Dungeon). She also advices you to seek Brother Moser and ask about a 'Holy Sacrament' (allowing you to use the fountain from the beginning).

There is no letter about Paluke. That has been replaced with Samurai equipment from a long-lost adventurer. Do-Maru set, Kabuto, Cuir Gauntlets, and Buskins. The first Dungeon treasure chest contains PlateMail Armour, Mail Mitts, Chain Hosen, and the first magic items, a Crusader Helm and Crusader's Axe. The other Dungeon Treasure contains 250 Shrike arrows with common Ranger gear. Studded Chausses, Studded Hauberk, QuarterStaff, Leather Boots, Chamois gloves, and a Leather Helm.

All the creatures are doubled and tripled. My first battle was against 8 BitterBugs to get to the Dungeon Fountain. 6-8 bugs, increased chance of 'help', etc.

The final battle in the dungeon, against a sup'd up Rasepratep resulted in the best treasure of the entire game. 6 items of Regeneration. Elven Bow, 2 Faerie Caps, Cameo Locket, Diamond Ring, and an Amulet of Healing.

However, the only 'fountain' that does any healing at all in the game isthe newbie fountain. The Holy Sacrament only regens mana (at half the original rate), and the only other fountain in the game that regens anything is in Munkharama, which regens Stamina.

Admittedly, the 'regen items' as well as the armour 'treasures' were tailor made for my party.

Female Hobbit - Lord (Diamond Ring)
Male Rawulf - Samurai (Cameo Locket)
Female Faerie - Bard (Faerie Cap)
Male Faerie - Ninja (Faerie Cap)
Female Elf - Ranger (Elven Bow)
Male Elf - Bishop (Amulet of Healing)

I've been having a blast playing again, and despite the 'cheating' am finding it tons more difficult to do stuff. Just getting past the Savant Trooper (who no longer lets you in for Paluke's) was hell with the number of Guards that are with him. The Shadow Guardians (Gorn finale) summoned a hoarde of Ghosts to get past. All the grand final battles in each of the areas was tripled in difficulty. The crypt has me worried, it's almost purely demons now, and all increased in power and numbers. The 'wilds' are all Godzyllis, Conquillados, Rexx's and Dragons.

Anyhows, just finished the Gorn Castle (after the New City) and am heading to the T'Rang to 'purge' the world of them, now that the Gorn have agreed to support the Munks in fighting off the off-worlders.

Well, just felt like rambling about the game a bit. That's all for now. ;)

Good start!

It seems you are the first changing the scenario above making a few tweaks.

The main warning (petition) - do not make it overpowered, please, and it could be a new scenario many would like to play (including me).

Sorry for the delay on getting you those files, the 'broken' files are the ones I'm currently working on the new scenario with. The new scenario is so broken that I think it's sadly, byond repair. Trying to add something like a new Treasure Chest is impossible. Tried to add a new chest in the room with the BOAT map (Exit of Ratkin Funhouse) and the ladders stopped working. o.O Might be because you can't create new IDs, but not seeing how that effects the exits since the Event ID for exits (ladders) is always 0.

Speaking of which, will future versions possibly allow for 'new' monsters/loots? Right now we have to over-write current ones (Like, I took away BlindMice's Cane of Corpus to put the new treasure in the Ratkin Funhouse area). So BlienMice has an Empty Loot slot (despite having a fairie ninja, I never want the Cane of Corpus since I side with the Ratkin). Also had to delete the Cane of Corpus entirely to have a slot for making the Nunchaka of Death (4d4 P/S 8% KIA 20% Paralyze) since you can't make new items.

Anyhows, I need to re-install and lose my changes it seems (will wait for a reply of course), because as it stands, my party is trapped in a small area unable to exit. Need to re-install anyways I guess to get you those files....

2. "Sounds challenging"
At first, it sounded like you were giving away all the good stff too early ... then I saw why

Seems like this is not for the light of heart or beginner.

Well, one of the reasons for the re-write is that, by the time you get the 'good stuff', you don't need it. If you can beat the Gorrors, that Mir Blade, Diamond Eyes, Ebony Plate, they're just not needed. To give you a 'feel' for some of the treasure locatios now here's what we have.

Dane Tower provides a Heume, Dragon Kite and the Blade Cuisinart in the chest with the PlateMail +3.

Munkharama school of 5 Flowers Chest holds a Bushido Blade, Wakizashi +1, Hi-Dane Do suit (complete), and the BlackBelt.

Munkharama 'GOWN' choice includes a Coif of Divine Mail along with the 2 Gown pieces.

Ratkin Ruins provides a couple of Displacer Cloaks (without needing Barlone) and a Rod of Sprite.

The Crusader Chest on the River Bank is now a Ranger Chest, Great Bow, 250 Mystic Arrows, Forest Cape, Chainmail +1 (complete)

Even included a new set of Nunchaku that are 'magical' hidden in the game.

In the mountains past Ukpyr you can find an Ebony PlateMail, Mantis gear, Diamond Eyes, Muramasa Blade, and an Avenger (guarded by some new Dragons made just for that treasure)

Basically, by the time you're ready to enter the boat, your team is ready. Clues on the maps tell you about the Items of Power you need before you attack the Citadel of the Dark Savant on the newly risen island in the Sea of Sorrows. ;)

I'm testing it now, and have already noted some things that need altering. Trying to make it less tailor made for 'my' group, like including an early Great Bow for a non-elven Ranger.

4. "Level proper loot"
Ya, that is a "problem" I have noted in many games, like Wiz 8 last night ... my party is just starting through the Rapax areas and one of things I got was a book of fireballs ...

1) who doesn't have that spell by now
2) what good is it in this area

Sure, it is fireballs and this is a likely place to learn about fire ... but maye Antone could carry this in his stock from time to time.
