Looks like I'm the only one here this week, and I haven't run the game for 2+ years, so ...

There is no way that I know of. The original game was written for DOS and Gold was ported to run in a window. The black borders surrounding the central game screen can be squeezed in but (as I recall) the central screen does not re-center - you keep the black border on the left and top. I have never heard anyone mention how to expand the active part of the screen to fit 800x600, or any screen size bigger than the original 640x480.

At one time I used a small program that would resize the display, run gold, and then resize the screen when I exited from gold. I do not remember the name of the program. It was something 'res...' I liked using 800x600 then the automap could stay up all the time. But that was more than 3 years ago, maybe more. How long has Wiz 8 been out? Since then.
