"DragonQuest scenario completed!"
Since 1981 I wanted a game that was a combination of my two favorite games, Wizardry and DragonQuest. After a year of efforts and well over 500 hours of work my dream has finally come true! I hope this scenario will give you hours of enjoyment and for some of you bring back the excitement and nostalgia.

What is DragonQuest?

I've been asked, so here goes:

DragonQuest is a dice fantasy role-playing game. It came out in 3 editions. The 2nd Edition of 1981 is by far the most popular, there even is a DragonQuest Player's Association.

The character generation is great since it lets you develop your character the way you wish compared to some other games which forces you into a class-based system and to be good or evil and puts tons of restrictions upon your character development.

There are 3 main sets of skills to develop; weapons skills, magic skills, and adventuring skills.

The combat system is quite flexible with a variety of moves like charge and evade and also deadly. There is no such thing as a level 20 invincible warrior. Although a high level character is hard to defeat, one would think twice before attacking a pack of Orcs.

DragonQuest also has an awesome magic system, arguably the best out there. Magic is divided in Colleges of Magic like Ensorcelments and Enchantment, Fire Magic, Necromantic Conjurations, Black Magic, Greater Summonings to name a few.

The monsters are based on common fantasy folklore, myths, and legends and there is no weird stuff like the beast of three arms from who knows where.

There are also skills to be acquired and developped such as Alchemist, Assassin, Beast Master, Courtesan, Healer, Merchant, Military Scientist, and Spy to name a few

You gain experience by solving quests, defeating monsters, and other activities and then spend it on the skills you want. Of course if you spend a lot of experience in weapons and adventurers skill then there is less left for magice skills and vice versa.

The bottom line is you develop the character you want with as few artificial restrictions as possible.
