"Quest items list"
Hello!

I am thinking of going through CoDS again, this time as a solo ninja, and wondered if there was a list of quest items available. Space will be at a premium, and I want to make sure to pick up the necessities.

Thank you again for any help that you can provide.

Dave

a few marked keys, like the Prison Key, Azure key, and the like. the basic Brass and Iron keys can be sold, for Skullduggery takes care of the locked doors.the Crux of Crossing is also necessary, but only twice, then you can drop it anywhere, since it can't be sold. the Coil of the Serpent is needed to enter the Dragon Mountains, and is also a good weapon, and you can drop this whenever you feel ready. only 1 map is needed, the Legend map, the others can be dropped, suggested you drop them all in one spot, in case you need the clues again.
that's about it for quest items. you only have them for a short while in most cases anyway, so it matters little.
one word of advice, the Lodestone should be called the Load Stone, a useless piece of rock.

Thank you! I remember there being a lot of quest items along the way, and it is nice to know that many of them are only temporary in nature. Thanks again-

Dave

if there are any items you have that don't seem to be useful, but you can't sell them, drop them somewhere you will go back to, like New City. you can always pick them up later if you think you need it.
the only thing to remember, is that each map can only hold 128 items, but you can drop 100 in New City, and another 100 in the Starter Dungeon, and be OK.

careful about the "can't sell" criterium--it is possible to sell some very important stuff to wandering NPC's. Especially don't sell *Legend* even though you can get 10K for it.

Thanks again! I had forgotten that dropped items stay on the ground, as opposed to disappearing after a set amount of time. I have begun accumulating loot in the back room of Paluke's, my favorite storage area.

none of us have every had something stolen from the piles of items, no matter where we dropped them, even in busy New City, so you don't have to worry about them.
I would advise, however, that you do a bit of organizing if you intend to drop tons of stuff, like putting all swords in one spot, helments in another, and another for keys, just so you can go back later and sift through just the keys, to find the one you need.

Don't forget the Guardia Clean Environment Act - XFR377, which limits your rubbish piles to a set numebr of items (I forget if it is per heap or per map).

it's per map, 128 items per map, I believe is the magic number.
after this, the EARLIEST item you dropped disappears forever, maybe except for Quest items

I once counted 118 as the limit, but I might have missed a few around town. I think the most recently dropped non-you-need-that item disappears first. It doesn't delete stuff you need.

As for never losing stuff - I have walked into my drop zones after several years absence from the game, and noticed there are very few, if any, items where I expect to find them. I can reload some stuff from the Mystery Menus but I KNOW I had more stuff there.
