Lord Galiere (Guest) (1 posts) Sep-17-02, 08:24 PM (Pacific) "Wiz 8 Ending" Wiz 8 creates files at the end of the game in accordance with how the game ended. Wiz8 was not yet ready for prime-time. The work continued on Wiz8 but no publisher/distributer was identified once the work was done. If I understand the situation correctly. Sir-Tech had stopped all funding for Wiz8 but the developers/coders continued to work on it in their spare time. We are lucky to get Wiz8 at all. "That is about right" Though I don't think anyone outside the Sirotek (thus the name of the company) family was doing any pro-bono work (aside from us beta testers ). Though, when it was done, I recall there was an abrupt shut down (read layoff, closing up shop) to operations while publishing arrangements were searched out and made. Just like the Jagged Alliance franchise, the last I heard (6 months or so ago), the Wizardry franchise was up for sale, but there have been no takers (unlike the JA series, which found new life).
