"Switching from umpani to T'rang"
After originaly signing up for the umpani I decided to work for the T'rang thinking that my joining them would terminate my pre-existing employment with the umpani. Now I forsee problems arising from this, its already cost me a few thousand gold.
If anyone can tell me how to terminate my contract with the umpani(without killing them)I would be greatfull

1. "RE: Switching from umpani to T'rang"
You can choose 3 ways at this point. First, to destroy Tlang ship, Second, to destroy Umpani ship, and Third, to destroy Dark Savant ship. If you take Third Way, you get new alliance of Tlang and Umpani. To destroy Dark Savant ship, You muat go to Rapax away camp, and kill all Rapax, then rescue prisoners of Tlang and Umpani. After You recruit both prisoners, you go to Zant then go to Yamir. And there, you get new mission of Destroying ship of Dark Savant.

The above ost is accurate, but it depends how far you are in the game. I don't know how you lost the money, but you'll get a lot more by playing both sides, and completing quests for both the Umpani and the T'rang, and then getting the final alliance as mentioned above. Just be sure to check in with a certain large-breasted bar wench every so often, or else your cover could get blown... which isn't the end of it, there are ways of completing everything even if Z'ant knows you're a traitor.

Can the Umpani find out you're a traitor? Never have in my game, I think their skulls are a bit too thick...

Yes they can. The T'rang spy in the Umpani base camp can rat you out.

4. "Umpani are dumb!"
When I first encountered them I was on the T'Rang mission to capture their flag. The stupid flag-guard asked me what I wanted and I said "the flag". He mumbled something about the commissionary and stated that before he could let me in he has to ask some question, and off he went: "Have you had contact with the T'Rang?" "Yes" "Do you work for them or do you intend to?" "Yes" (I'm an honest fellow, you know...). I was prepared (that is: I quicksaved...) to be beaten up at this point, but to my surprise he let me in. While it is a very christian idea to let your enemies into your house, I still wonder why he did this? Was he drunk? Wasn't he listening? Didn't he believe me? Strange this are going on on Dominus!!!
