"A fond farwell"
Today is my last day at work, so my co-workers "decorated" my cube

You can just feel the love (and the payback for what I had done to other's cube when they were on vacation )

The night before my last day, when they wanted to do this, I was staying late for an install ... and this one just happened to start 2 hours later than usual So, the deconstruction did not get started until we were done adn out of the building (about 8:00 p.m.) They spent about 2 hours on deconstruction and setup.

The mornign crew came in about 5:30 a.m. to finish up, add the graffiti, and setup my PC in the next "stall (so to speak).

I was touched, by all they did (they had a project manager, setup meetings and everything!). Although the toilet looks real, it is a cardboard construct one of our talented graphics artists whipped up. There was even sound effects .. of a fly buzzing around.

I'll have to get a link up to the other cube we did ... when the new guy went on vacation for his honeymoon. The end result looked like we had filled his cube, to the brim, with packing peanuts

What we actually did was build a cardboard (seems our media of choice) roof and door, so we only had to add a layer of peanuts on the top adn in front of the door. It looked genuine enough to dive into ... which would have landed someone on the chair and boxes supporting the fake roof.

New job is at SureWest.

4. "Now I have more time ..."
Cut my commute from an hour (plus or minus) each way, down to 20-25 minutes. Not to mention, it is almost all freeway (20 miles), as opposed to 1/2 surface streets (30 miles) before ... more time, less money spent on gas ... and they just announced new and improved benefits!

I scored all around!

5. "Can't you just feel the love??"
You are obviously well thought of among your peers Rick.

That is just too cool.

Best of luck in your new digs. Any Wizardry fans there?

If they had only known your geekiness a little better, they would have realized that the cubicle farm is actually just like a dungeon with walls and doors.

They'd have set up random encounters once you enter the office building, with some random drops of equipment (plastic swords, trousers, T-shirts+3, construction helmet), and a sign at your cubicle entrance stating: The evil wizard moves ***out!***
