LAST EDITED ON Dec-12-01 AT 08:30 AM (Pacific) I have not taken her out yet, My party was way too low a level when I ran into her the first time. Will be planning on giving it a go again soon, my party is around 16-18 right now. My guess is you better load up on defensive spells the first round, i.e. soul shield and element shield, as well as bless and a few supermans might also help, be nice if there were still some invisibilty draughts, right before the battle make sure your missle shield, armorplate, chameleon, magic screens, divine blade are ready for a long battle. Another thing to think about once your have your defense set is to start casting armour melt at her. Will let you know how this works out when I get back that way. Joey Nipps (66 posts) Dec-12-01, 08:57 AM (Pacific) 2. "RE: Nessie....." Yes, I have killed Nessie - actually with the right group it was fairly easy. I had 5 fighters and one priest. Had defensive spells (Armorplate and Magic Shield) up before the fight - immediately ran to her and engaged in melee. NiteTime (Guest) (0 posts) Dec-12-01, 09:18 AM (Pacific) 3. "RE: Nessie....." Yup. took her out at level 12/13. Use all the buff spells you have, haste & superman potions on all your fighter types. Initiate combat yourself & run up to fight her. I JUST beat the little villiage and rescued the Umpani (I haven't done any quess, can't find something that's "definitely t'Rang to bring them). Any help on either of those would be great. Ok, first of all, when you see Nessie the first time (right as you enter this part of the caves)... quickly drop down, run to the right (hugging the wall). You'll run to an updraft that will take you to an upper level (if you can't make that updraft without combat, use the run option during combat to get to it). After you've gotten to the upper, continue to run away from Nessie. Now that you've gotten away from Nessie, heal up and turn around. You should be able to see Nessie from the top of the chasm that you are now in. Nessie will be behind a couple of large boulders (when I did this, she couldn't attack me at all) Initiate combat and start hitting her with ranged attacks (I blinded her and she ran, so I had to follow her, but with no difficuties killing her) I only had my 6 main characters and if I remeber correctly I received about 150,000 xp for killing Nessie. Astro3 (Guest) (4 posts) Dec-21-01, 08:57 AM (Pacific) 7. "RE: Nessie....." I managed to kill her pretty easily when I went back the 2nd time. The first time I tried fighting her, she stomped me flat. Later, I needed to tie up a few loose ends and gain a level or two for Rapax Rift, so I paid her another visit. I loaded up with the best arrows, stones, and quarrels and buffed. In the first round, my mage summoned and elemental lord (don't remember which one). I threw some other spells but they did no good. The lord only hit for about 70 points of damager per blow but then one of my missle weapons knocked Nessie unconscious and that was pretty much all she wrote. The lord now did well over 100 points of damage per blow (one did 175) and, hitting twice per round, Nessie when down before she could regain conciousness.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
