"Playing Single"
After beating the game twice I decided that I needed some challenge and started a new game with just one character, a female faerie ninja. At first I had (surprisingly) no serious problems and did not level up until I could get to Lvl 5 (so I could cast spells). Now the monsters are much tougher than at the beginning, yet my equipment did not improve (I still use the faerie stick - love that sleep!) and during fights I get serious stamina problems. Will it get any easier over time? I decided to get power strike and reflexion as my first expert skills - do you think this is wise? I would like to have iron will, but as a faerie (pie 35) this is not an easy task (if I start now I'll have iron will at lvl 27...). Can one find anything as single char if not a ranger? I do not seem to find any of the items in the monastery that I know of (e.g. book of stamina) even if I wait 5 minutes there in search mode

Any comments and tips are welcome!

Haven't yet tried a solo character game.

Sense is the skill to raise if you want to find any hidden items without a Ranger. This skill is also a controlling attribute for dual-wielding weapons and also helps with initiative and ranged combat(Eagle Eye expert skill).

Can't give any advice on strategy though.

Good luck and more importantly.....HAVE FUN!!

I am playing a solo frmale FN at the moment.

The game gets rather difficult at this stage, say levels 7 to 15. Be prepared for a zillion reloads You will have to pick your fights very carefully and run from many - don't worry you will be able to go back and settle the score later. Strategy counts big time, ie choose defendable position where in particular only one monster can have a go at you at once. as soon as the sumon elemental spell becomes available you will find it a big help, as are the cloud spells. Whilst Death Cloud is not available anytime soon, you will find it a big spell to use for the big battles - nothing like several opponenets spontaneously dying each round.

You should get the Cane of Corpus ASAP it is all that really makes a FN worthwhile - Barlone at Trynton - go see him, come back, then kill him for the Astral Dominae and C of C. You will find this a tough fight.

Attribiutes to work on Strength - fighting damage and Intelligence - Magic. Many will not agree with intelligence in particular but getting great magic power ASAP greatly improved a solo FN's chances. Cast fire bomb, stink bomb etc whilst monsters are in the distance and whittle there HP's down a bit before going "hand to hand". As well as above comments in respect of summoning and cloud spells. You can heal yourself up as well.

On level up pump, alchemy, stealth and perhaps a magic realm skill or a weapons skill. I did magic.

ASAP merge HV heal and HV stamina using alchemy skill to make potions of restoration - very handy for a solo character when in drawn out fights.

Practice magic at all times, ie when you have a group of monsters beat, practice your magic on them.

Do not worry about throwing, despite ranged criticals and auto penetrate being a ninja skill, the Cane of Corpus is cursed and cannot be removed easily. Whilst equiped throwing is not available.

I am about to get the destiny dominus, go to rapax castle - go to ascension peak and finish, I am level 27 now. I need 10M experience for my next level up. Should be around level 30 at end game.

I hope this helps. If you need any tips on a solo FN lep me know.
