in the rapax rift, when you take a right from the entrance, and follow the path, you'll eventually come across a room with some rapax prisoners. To the left of that is a double bridge with some initiates on them. When you have crossed the bridge, look at the railing to your left. You'll see that you can slide down. When you do that, you'll get attacked by some rapax. At the far end to the right you can get into a hallway. This is the one where you see the rafters. You can make them collapse so you can get further in the rift.
As for the spells, did you only train the bishop in wizardry? then the effect spells would be sleep, terror, freeze flesh (perhaps freeze all, don't know for sure) and web. If you train the bishop in psionics, you can get the insanity spell, which works wonders
For the race/class combo, the CoC is a good example for the faerie ninja. Also, the bard has some class specific stuff which helps her a lot, such as the Caliban Cuirass. The other race specific weapon is the Giant's Sword, you can get this when you kill a Death Lord or a certain guardian in the Sea Caves. It is an extended range 2-handed sword with a high KO %. Only a Mook can wield this weapon, and must be Fighter, Lord, Valkyrie or a Ranger. For non-ninja faeries the faerie cap is nice, which is a rare drop from high level sprites. Also Antone's custom armor piece the Zynaryx plate is very nice for the faerie. In the Rapax Castle you'll find some more nice faerie-only armor. Gadgeteers can wear the Tinker's Carryall Bracers. You can pickpocket one from Myles, or buy some from Bela. Each give +20 strength, so if you ever intend to use a gadgeteer in your party there is no real use to raise his strength above 60; if you wear two of these this will boost your strength to 100. Power strike is not necessary for the gadgeteer anyways, because his real power lies in his gadgets and his omnigun at higher levels, which can ultimately use ANY type of ammo and cause ANY type of ailment.
Besides that, there is a possibility you can get a claw (don't know the exact name) from a flying serpent type creature, this can only be used by lizardmen and dracons i believe, and has a high poison %. Also boomerang shurikens are nice to have if you have a non-CoC wielder. There are also nice other things to find for a secondary weapon for the faerie ninja, such as sprite's daggers which give a stamina regen among other things.
Also be sure to check out the waterfall in the mountain wilderness; some nice stuff is there. If you explore each area thoroughly, you can find some nice things, such a second Diamond Eyes (if you've pickpocketed one from the Trynnie Shaman before). If you visit the Wilderness Clearing before it becomes the Rapax Away Camp, you can get a Robes of Enchant both Upper and Lower from the cave. Be careful, it's guarded by a Gazer.
