"Runes and a sepcial item" Just like the otehr two retro dungeons, you need to find and touch the six runes (these are all on trees in the Northern Wilderness) ... then you need a Short Staff to light up the mushroom patch. "RE: Northern Wilderness Retro Dungeon" There's no boss to speak of, but there is a chance that you can find the feather you need for Ferro to make one of his custom items. You can find plate mail+3 upper & lower there, as well as a few nice battles. I ended up going through about three times, encountering two hoarder slimes, so got two sets of the Plate +3 and Plate +2 (both Lower) armor.
