"Wiz Fans the World Over"
There are a heap of regular posters here. I am just wondering where we all hail from and some other facts just for fun.

I am male, 38 and from Australia. Wiz 8 is still on sale here and retails for $A89.95 or about $50US. Judging by the amount of boxes on the shelf in my local ship it must still be selling OK to warrant such shelf space.

If OK with the moderator, It would be good to get a perspective form where we are all from and other details.

I'm from sunny and lovely Portugal, Europe (near Spain) and a friend of mine's sister resident in the UK ordered me wizardry 8 from the States. It cost me about 45 €uros... worth every cent
biggest game addiction since wizardry 7

I live in the Sierra Foothills, just outside Sacramento, CA (that is CAlifornia, not CAnada ... easily confused, since Wiz 8 hails from "the other" CA ).

I'm Sherrie from Taunton Massachusetts. That's about a 45 minute drive south of Boston. I just found Wiz 8 a few months ago and now that I'm on my second run through I'm wondering where I can get my hands on the other Wiz games. Can anyone help me with that?

Haven't slept yet, why start now?!

7. "Ebay"
You can get the UWA collection of all the Wizardry games on one CD.

(UWA = Ultimate Wizardry Archives ... came out a year or so before Wiz 8)

Driving East on I-8 out of San Diego last summer, I really enjoyed the trip through the hills and valleys. Very nice area. Then of course it was over the top and on to the desert floor. What a scorcher!! ( 112+ deg. F) Near as I can guess, God must have forgotten to finish this part of the planet. For those who are curious, Hell is somewhere around El Centro.

<It> was a bit much for this fair skinned Yank from the Northwest and quite a departure from the pleasant mid 70's in the greater San Diego area earlier in the day.

To be fair, I was suprised to find a great deal of agriculture in the desert. I think this is what sucks up the last of the Colorado river if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, when I buying fresh fruits and vegetables in February with a "Grown in California" sticker, I now know where it came from.

Marc, I grew up in San Diego, in Pacific Beach area. Although that drive can be a bit much, I do remember very fondly the date malts we used to get in places like 29 Palms. It is a much nicer drive in Feburary.

Was it of the blistering variety? Maybe that is where those monsters come from

12. "Best time to visit Hell......"
is April and May. The winter rains have forced themselves over the mountains (5-6000 feet I believe) and the deserts bloom. Wildflowers everywhere for about 4 weeks. Unfortunately this year the rainy season provided only 3.5 inches in the civilized part of the county, not our usual 9 inches. But an El Nino is forming, maybe we'll get 12 inches next rainy season !!!

Well, I would be anyway, if I had time to play anymore.

I'm a tried and true United States Air Force Brat(tm), currently going to college in Minnesota. I got my copy for about $50 from EB.com in the original release. (Hey, I was impatient.)

You weren't the only one Lord Gram. I got it from EB the day it was released.

I live in central Ohio now, but I grew up in New Jersey and go back to the Jersey shore as often as I can.
