"Vi's Stun Mace - Gone for good"
I just read a post elsewhere that mentioned a really easy way to get Vi's Stun Mace off of her, as well as any other item (like Saxx's Soulful Sax) without offending them or doing any kind of work at all.

Recruit Vi. Click on her Stun Mace, and then right-click on another character who has an empty slot in his or her inventory. This should cause the Stun Mace to go into that character's inventory. Next, click on an item in the party inventory... Vi will complain as though that is her Stun Mace. To calm her down, put that item into her inventory. The Stun Mace is now yours... you can click on it, exit the menu screen and drop it on the ground. Vi will make no objections, and will also not object when you remove the item you had given her.

Again, this is not just specific to Vi. Be warned though that if you dismiss Vi and thenr recruit her again, she will not come with another Stun Mace (don't ask me to explain why her image will still have one in hand... that must be a "personal" item of hers...).

I think there is even easier way: you go to Vi's inventory and just drop her mace. Then if you try to exit inventory screen, she will complain and you won't be able to exit. But if you put any item in the slot, where mace was, everything will be all right: Vi won't ever remember about her mace. I tried this way 4 or 5 times - it works.

2. "WHY, why , why?"
Does this thread keep ressurecting? What is so "good" about the mace? Is it sooo heavy she just can't drag it around? And I have yet to be able to follow anyone's (easy) instructions on how to do this and get it to work.

"... and just drop her mace." Uhm, you can't, not in my version. Once you click on the mace, and click drop, it doesn't - she complains. And you can't swap it with any party inventory, and swapping it with any of her invventory items just gives the ace back to her.

It's not critical... but it's a nice way to go Saxx's instrument, and a nice way to free Vi up of ten pounds.

As to why you haven't been able to do it... not following directions, probably. That, and it's much easier to do than to explain. But as you say, it ain't no big deal.

You are first to click on drop button and only then on the mace, she drops it without complains, but if you just try to exit inventory then, she begins and the only way to exit it then is to give her any other thing. After doing it, you exit inventory and see mace already on the ground. What abot reasons for doing it - the mace is too heavy and useless to go with it all the time.

"Nope Lou, still not getting it" - Fight Club

I click on the Drop Icon, then the mace and the complaints begin ...

As for the mace being of no use and too weighty, we all have our baggage If she didn't have that, what would be the downside of having her along

Okay, you can't get rid of it using the Drop command (I couldn't). But, once again... (and there are variations to this, of course)

1) Click on her mace
2) Make sure to RIGHT click on someone who does NOT have a full inventory (you following, pet?)
3)This person now has her mace... click on some other item in your party's inventory
4)Click on Vi's icon, and put it into her inventory
5)Click on the Stun Mace in the other character's inventory
6)Exit the Menu screen
7)Drop it
8)Done.

... That worked. An here all this time I thought people were pulling my leg Thanks Red

Ya know, sometimes I am just a bit slow ... I realized this again tonight fighting (well more like trying not to die) the Djiin of Clouds. I always thought they had that name because they came from the clouds ... about the 5th cloud spell, I finally got it

Hey, thanks Llevram,
I've wondered about this Djinn-thing, too. Always thought "How can those fat bastards fly through the clouds!?!"
Another mystery solved

I always pick these characters clean before recruiting them.
The funny thing is, even after you have pilfered all their
inventory, they regenerate all of it when first recruited.
You also generate multiple "unique" items from some merchants -
such as Ferro's armory key - in the same way.
