"Wizardry Proving Grounds v3.2 Released!"
Hi.

This is to announce that Wizardry Proving Grounds v3.2 has been released!

Over 100 fixes, game play and quality of life enhancements have been applied to the original release for the Apple II microcomputer.

This version 3.2 of the game engine has also been applied to nine alternate scenarios.

They all include the following further enhancements and fixes over the previous release:

- New fonts by 4am. My grateful thanks to 4am for this marvelous work. Much more pleasant on the eyes, next to no fringing.
- Fix the Random Number Generator and have its assembly code to now use safe memory locations by Qkumba. My grateful thanks to Qkumba for this incredible feat.
- Game Q)uick Plot option now makes the screen draw faster when there are poisoned characters.
- Added a pause (with a funny quip) after stepping on a CHUTE! square to see that it happened at higher speeds.
- Game breaker fix for after getting out of a FIZZLE square the spells fizzling effect now stops.

Here’s a recap of the more interesting previous enhancements that were made:

- Pool and divide gold between party members.
- Display hit probability for characters and monsters.
- Display spells cast by both monsters and players.
- Display silenced characters and poison effects in the status window.
- No more spell casting during the surprise round for both monsters and players.
- No more micro-managing inventory to make space for treasure drops.
- Easter egg and special encounters re-enabled.

Alternatively, you can also play using Wizard Replay which let's you play all three original scenarios, as well as nine alternate scenarios, in a nice menu-driven UI ProDOS shell by 4am and Qkumba: https://archive.org/details/WizardReplay

Comments and feedback are welcome for future enhancements.

My thanks to many people who have helped me in this project over the years, acknowledgements on my site.

Wizardry forever!
