"Misconception" Whenever I think (or recall my one trip there as a kid) of San Diego, I think of "big city" .. not rural or mountainous where you would have wildfires of this scale ... that is where I live (up north in the Placer County foothills). I know someone who lives in Simi Valley who sent pics of the fires out back of his house. Tis a shame...and here in AZ we got your smoke and burnings.
