"LOTR featured in WIRED magazine...."
Since LOTR is scheduled to come out in December, I was thinking I should probably read it on my vacation next week. (Some of you may want to beat me after this question.) Is LOTR the first book? Or is there one I should read first before LOTR? I know, I know, I a culturally deprived because I have never read any of Tolkien's books. Well I am going to change that this next week!!

Anyhow, I just read a great article that digs into the following of LOTR and Role Playing/Virtual Reality games. I would explain more but you should just read it. It is in the October issue of WIRED Magazine.

LotR is actually a series of six books, normally published in three volumes: Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.

The Hobbit is the prequel to the whole series, and a good book too, imho. It should add some backstory to LotR.
