"UWA Bugs?"
Hi guys. I have a question: People here have been mentioning some bugs in the Ultimate Wizardry Archives versions of the game. Can anyone tell me what these bugs are? I've been playing these games for some time and have noticed nothing wrong or unusual. Most posts mention playing the games on Windows, which may explain it because I slapped the first five on an old 386 Laptop which I use for note-taking during the Might & Magic games. Still, I'd like to know what the problems are. Thanks in advance.

1. "Level up increases seem randomly bad"
You tend to see as many stats go down as up. It should be mostly an upward climb.

Odd... I guess I lucked out or something, cuz the level-ups on mine seem fine... or at least, they're similar to the results I get on the NES and SNES versions.

Er...that was always my experience on the FLOPPY versions of W1 and W2 (PC). Many stats would go down during leveling but the trend would be upward.

Is everyone SURE is is a bug, not a design choice?

I think enough folks have experienced it, that have played the originals, to say that it is a bug ... probably a differnce in how the random # generation works.

The bug is that vitality gets reduced below three and the character can then die of old age. I had a fighter die of old age when he was 15!

The original games didn't allow vitality to drop below three until the character's age was over 50
