Willow (115 posts) Jun-14-01, 02:10 PM (Pacific) "BaneEditŠ v1.0 Full Release!" fellow WizardryŽ VI - Bane of the Cosmic ForgeŠ fans, i have completed a Full Release version of BaneEditŠ. yes, you heard correctly. you may now use BaneEditŠ to edit your characters base statistics, skills and spells, including the hidden skills not used in WizardryŽ VI (swimming, defense, speed, movement, aim and power) and the secret spells (Holy Water, Helpfood and Magicfood) that, until now, were not available to anyone but D. W. Bradley himself! (did that sound dramatic enough? ) download it here. it is small enough to fit anywhere (~76k) - even in your front shirt pocket!* (* shirt pocket sizes may vary) like always, comments are very welcome. let me know if the program is great, sucks, works, doesn't, is more than you'd hoped for, less than you'd hoped for. let me know if words are misspelled, if there are any prevailing bugs, if you want to borrow $5, anything! Just one question and a comment: Q) Will it work under Windows 3.11? (No problem if it doesn't, I can use it at uni) C) It wouldn't download with IE, I had to open Netscape. "RE: answer and reply" thank you for the compliment and feedback! i have one answer and a reply: A) i have absolutely no idea. try it and let me know, so i can put it in my documentation! R) hmm. a pesky problem indeed. i am running W2K and IE 5.0, and it downloads just fine... but just to be safe, i have placed the same file in a .zip format. try this out, and let me know if it works. if it continues to be a pesky problem, i might go open up one of those (*shudder*) free web pages like geocities or tripod or whatever. Could have just been an old version of IE on the other PC. I'll check BaneEdit with Win 3.11 when i get home, and post the results when i get back to uni (could be a few days). "RE: BaneEditŠ v1.0 Full Release!" yes, i have already begun the process for items. it is just another "tab" on the character screen. i also have received some very detailed information from scary regarding resistances and mana regeneration rates which i plan on incorporating as well (yet another "tab"). besides all that, i have still yet to fully decode and implement ailments. basically, consider v1.0 of BaneEdit to be the base on which further versions will build... i just wanted to throw something out to the public so they wouldn't have to wait for the entire finished product! thanks for the interest!
