"Question about importing your Characters"
I have a question about importing:

I played the SNES-Version of Wiz1 and completed it. Then I wanted to move my Chars to Wiz2, but they were all Level 1 and I found out, that the makers of the SNES-Version configurated the Monsters skills.
I think that this really suckz and I'm looking for a good Version of the Wizadry Series.

In the SNES-Version you can't import
In the UWA you Level-Ups are bad (i heard so)

So, what do you think?

1. "Save and reload is an option"
You can always save your game, then try your level up ... if it is bad, reload and try again .. or you can edit them to what you think they should be (with an editor of course).

Tools for Wizardry(r) 7

Yes, that would BE an option, but i don't like those stuff. Save & Reload is not SOO bad, but EDITORS! I hate them.

I Just want to play it original...

You want to play it original, you say? Then play the original. Wizardry II on Apple II. As authentic as it gets, with the original, accurate monsters and without the level-up problems of the UWA versions.

If you can't play it on an authentic Apple II, then consider an emulator. This site has detailed instructions on how to run Wizardry I and II with ApplePC, and how to transfer characters to Wizardry II. It has the disk images too. (If you download WizII here, be sure to write protect the boot disk (d1))

All assuming you read this, of course.

Wiz III is available for the Apple II.

ApplePC will probably run too fast on default settings, so experiment with the delay feature (of the emulator) and the time setting (of Wizardry) to find a good speed. Note that it's convenient to raise the speed when fighting Murphy's Ghost over and over.

If you need any help, post away.

After you beat Wiz II for Apple, try the NES or SNES version if you have time. Different maps, new monsters, some spells from Wizardry V, etc make it totally worth playing.

Hi again,
i played through wizardry 1-3 now and played wizardry 4 with the ultimate wizardry archives.

Now i want to start W5 and want to import my old W3 characters. Buuut, the appleII version of w5 is kinda bugged. I can't equip any items...

Anyone has an idea or knows the solution to this problem?

I had the same problem when I played Wiz V with ApplePC. It should work fine in Applewin.
