"post disappearance"
I posted two messages last night in the wiz 8 spoiler forum (one was a reply), and this morning they both have disappeared. Can someone tell me what happened?

1. "Not sure"
Has anyone else seen any problems? How late was this ... are you sure you hit 'Post'

3. "One possibility"
I had some weird experiences yesterday with the site in general, regarding email routing. I know my host recently implemented some spam filtering and I had trouble sending out the subscriptions and even sending myself an email yesterday and last night, until I fiddled with the settings.

Now email seems fine ... maybe they were related.

2. "RE: post disappearance"
did you get to the page that listed the thread, including your post?
sometimes, if your Internet access screws up at just the right time, after you hit Post Message, it will start to post it, but get disrupted in the midst of the transfer.
what this means is, if it didn't post at all, post it again, later.

4. "Mystery solved"
My site was moved (unbeknownst to me) to a different IP address recently. I just found out, due to troubleshooting some issues I was having: uploaded some files, and I could not view them ... like they weren't there. They were "there", that was the problem ... they were not "here" (webmasters know what I am talking about

Anyhow, your lost posts must have been put up just as they moved or were moving the site.

5. "2nd Mystery solved"
That also explains the boatload of SPAM I have been getting over the last few days (like 30 a day, as opposed to the normal 10), as my domain registry info was updated ... every time that happens, it is like the SPAM flood gates are let loose ... argh!
