Panther -ur (3 posts) Dec-01-00, 07:49 AM (Pacific) "Wiz 6 - unable to load system fonts" HI all: I am going to try to finish up Bane. I got past the divide overflow problem with moslo and a patch. Now the game starts (I see the mouse pointer), but I get dumped back to DOS with a error message that the system can't load system fonts. It is error level #3 in the playbane.bat file if I remember correctly. Anyone have a way to fix this? I remember being in the River Styx, ages ago, perhaps even got past it, and believe that I am getting close to the end of the game.   Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

ShadowCrust (373 posts) Dec-02-00, 11:13 AM (Pacific) 3. "another try" Have you made sure your game files are located exactly under c:\bane\ ? If you put it anywhere else, the game will exit before the title screen. The reason is that the path for the scenario drive cannot be changed in the game configuration - the game always assumes the files are located in the path given above. Another possibility for the game locking up/not loading could be the mouse driver. Try starting bane without loading a mouse driver. Good luck!   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
