"Freak Alignment Change"
I have the Wizardry Archives and am currently replaying Wiz1. After about a half hour of playing earlier tonight, I came back in and started to rebuild my party. When I tried to add the second member, I got the *BAD ALIGNMENT* message. "That's ridiculous, all of my characters are EVIL!" When I inspected the fighter, lo and behold, he was GOOD!!! How/Why did this happen? And, more importantly, how do I change him back??? Any clues out there?

You must have not fought a large number of groups that were good. The only way to change him back is to get him into a group with neutral or good characters and fight all the friendly groups you come across. When your group is good and you fight friendly monsters then you become evil. If your group is evil and you don't fight friendly monsters you become good.

the easiest way to change it back to go to the murphy's ghost of level 1. once in a while the murphy's ghost becomes friendly. keep fighting it until your alignment changes back to evil.

This is a good way to make an evil Lord or good Ninja.
Normally these two classes would never be in the same party.

Don't worry about killing/not killing specific characters. Just take your evil & neutral characters into the maze then have them camp and quit the game. Then, go to form up your good characters above ground, once they're in the dungeon do a "search" and you'll find the rest of your party and can play nice together despite the alignment problem.

Though changing alignment can be a good thing. if you want someone to be a Lord and then a Ninja, you can get a Good Lord, change to evil, then, once stats fit the bill, change to ninja. voila, Ninja with some Priest Spells.
thing is, if Neutral, you can't change from Neutral.
You are only as brave as the challenges you take on
