Prutske -ur (19 posts) Nov-03-00, 01:30 PM (Pacific) "too slow or too fast" I have a Pentium 133, and Bane runs too fast. I was told to use Moslo and have found that setting it to 5% makes the game playable (the motions of the attacking creatures are almost normal). Problem is that the text on the screen goes away too fast to read. If I set Moslo to 1% the text is most of the time readable, but then the game is too slow and walking around is cumbersome. Any solutions or tips (like in CODS, when you hold down the spacebar, you can pause the text)? Prutske   Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I tried a lot of values, even 0 and 255, but it doesn't seem to be much difference. I tried pressing the spacebar while the text is on my screen, but it doesn't work either. I've just started playing Bane and am not far in the game yet, so far I have encountered this problem on 2 occasions: when I'm on the starterslevel of the castle, and I go up certain stairs, i get a message someone is running before me, when I'm on top there is supposed to be a message about breadcrumbs on the ground, but that one is too fast to read. Also when I give a password to the pirate, the reply that it's the wrong one is too fast to read either. I don't know how much of this happens in the game, I would have been a lot happier if you had to press the <enter>key after each textscreen in the game. I have no problem playing Wiz7, I don't even need Moslo for that, but with Bane I have to set Moslo to about 3%. I was thinking about buying a new faster computer and getting rid of my old (lack of space in the house), but now I think I'm gonna hold on to the old one as well, just for playing Bane. I've found out that if i press the <pause>key real fast at the right moment, it freezes the screen.
